A rare and genuinely cool late-1970s Tissot Seastar that captures the whole “Genta-influenced” sports-watch era in one sharp, angular package. The case is bold and architectural, dominated by an unusual 10-sided bezel that gives the watch a technical, almost industrial look – exactly what made this generation of Swiss toolwatches so desirable again today. This example stands out not only for its design, but also for its clever GMT / time-zone function, operated directly from the crown. It’s a quartz toolwatch with character, real function, and strong wrist presence – helped by a modern-wearable 22 mm lug width. GMT / time-zone function (how it works) The Seastar “GMT” concept here is built around independent hour correction (great for travel): you can jump the hour hand in steps while keeping the minutes (and therefore accuracy) intact. In practice, you set the watch precisely once (minutes), then when changing time zones you adjust only the hour/date – fast, convenient, and very “toolwatch” in spirit.
