Custom Planters — Reclaimed Old-Growth Heart Redwood with Powder-Coated Corners

Our hand-made planters are built to order using reclaimed old growth, heart redwood 2×4 and 2×8 with 20 growth rings per inch. The heavy duty, powder-coated aluminum corners have a built in channel that accepts the wood boards, avoiding wood to wood contact at the fastening location, often a weak point in other planter construction. We can make the planters to your specifications up to a maximum of 54″ long x 30″ wide x 24″ tall. Please contact us before, in the “product questions” or after purchase to give us your preferred dimensions.   A little history on the redwood used: This is reclaimed old-growth, heart redwood that was milled in 1942 for the construction of the Mira Loma Quartermaster Depot in Southern California, an important military logistics center during the Cold War and used in the 1960’s to dismantle Titan I and Atlas missiles. The lumber was milled into 2x4s and 2x8s, and nailed together to form 8″ thick, 30′ high solid walls! We are happy to be able to re-purpose this amazing natural resource.
